Once again this year the Allen County Emergency Management
Agency (EMA) will be very active at the County Fair, August 15-24.
As in years past, we will have the county’s “Mobile Command
Unit” parked right inside the main gate at the northeast corner
of the Youth Activities Building.
The “Mobile Command Unit” will serve
as the official WEATHER STATION at the fair, providing up-to-the-minute
weather information including
current radar information via a special computer link to the National
Weather Service office in Northern Indiana.
While visiting this year’s Allen County Fair, you are invited
to stop by and visit your EMA Team in action, tour the “Mobile
Command Unit”, get the latest weather forecast, pick-up a complementary
wind chill/heat index chart, or just cool down in our air conditioned
station.
